Even though there is potential for a higher salary or a raise by going back to school, there are many great reasons to consider advancing your education. First and foremost, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, college graduates who've obtained a Bachelor's Degree earn 39% more than other professionals who have only achieved a high school diploma. If you've obtained your Graduate or Master's Degree, you're earning 48% more than the typical high school graduate. If you're a high school graduate who's seeking to earn more money, a professional who is challenged in your current career path, the decision to advance your education is well worth the cost. Below are great reasons why people decide to go back to school.

Although there's a cost and time committment to earning your degree and/or certification, you'll see a strong return on your investment going forward. Your decision to invest in yourself will typically earn you a higher salary throughout your working career.

Demonstrate your value to employers
Deciding to advance your education and obtaining a higher degree is a great way to demonstrate your value to employers. You're esentially telling employers that you're committed to your career and that you invested in yourself to get the caereer you wanted.

Enhance your skills & knowledge
By going back to school, you're keeping your skills and knowledge more current with your industry and business trends. Doing so increases your value to your employer over others who are not as current in industry knowledge and skills.
